My experience and expertise | Since graduating from my Honours Bachelor degree in English and Humanities, I qualified to teach English as a second language. I then travelled and taught English in various countries including Thailand, Spain, England and Saudi Arabia gaining great experience. Since returning to Ireland in June I have been working with CIELS on the organisation and implementation of the Blended Programme here in Ireland. I love learning about new cultures and educational systems so I am really enjoying my work on this project. It is great to work first hand with the students on the programme and see how much they enjoy the experience.

My experience and expertise | Having achieved my Bachelor degree in Business Studies I qualified as an English Language Teacher and taught General English to junior students at CIELS. On completion of Cambridge DELTA qualifications I began teaching English for Academic Purpose at Institute of Tehcnology Carlow while developing bespoke Cultural Integration Programmes at CIELS. I enjoy teaching the English language but also love to see students experiencing and meeting new cultures while promoting their own. It is this combination that is at the core of BP: cultural development of student in a personal and work sense.

My experience and expertise | Having achieved my business-management degree in Germany, I came through Canada to the Netherlands. I am working for Landstede VET- school since April 2014. I am supporting team BP since March 2015. My main task is to organize the administration around the student`s departure and stay abroad as well as of their return. Moreover I do keep an eye on the finances of the project as well. I don´t have contact with the students on a regular basis but I do meet them before their departure and for the evaluation as they return. It is very inspiring to see how the students grow mentally during their adventure abroad and it is nice to be part of a programme that gives them the possibility to do so. |
